James Oakes, CPA has specialized in accounting and tax preparation for a wide variety of clients since 1984. I will engage in considerable study (in addition to the Georgia State Board of Accountancy Requirements) as well as participate monthly in Continuing Professional Education Courses approved by the Institute of Certified Tax Practitioners and others including testing by accounting and tax course publishers. Also, attendance at seminars helps to keep me up to date with the ever more complex tax law as well as to changes to accounting principles and financial reporting trends. Periodic peer reviews by another CPA firm helps assure quality control.
