Paiva & Associates is a new type of independant auditing firm dedicated exclusively to the performance of Information Assurance audits. P&A was formed for three reasons:
1. Whether or not Sarbanes-Oxley is amended to require IA audits, organizations of all types absolutely need to start doing them.
2. There are very few firms with the capability to perform these types of audits that are willing to give up their IT consulting revenue to be an independant audit firm.
3. IT companies sell fear. Therefore, organizations need an independant third party to assess their true risks and requirements.
